Activated muscles
A lower-body workout combining dumbbells and bodyweight for dynamic quadriceps and abs
We are going to combine bodyweight and dumbbells to work the quads muscles and the abs!
The goal of each exercise is to do it on one side and then switch to the other side.
The training you'll do on each side will help you build symmetry and strength but as long as you do the exact same thing on both sides!
Be vigilant for each movement with speed and control on both sides to keep the symmetry.
Very important note: I strongly advise you to always start first with your weak side because if at the base it is disadvantaged and you start with your strong side, it will necessarily be even more disadvantaged
The timer will be on 35 '' working, 20 '' rest.
And for the abs you will have to do 30 '' of exercise for 10 '' of recovery between each set.
Each quad exercise will have to be repeated twice.
For abs you'll repeat the circuit twice.
This time we will start by doing the abs before working quads because it is beneficial for preparing your abdominal strap.
You will need a pair of dumbbells and a rack as well as a mat. Warning ! You absolutely need a stable support for the Bulgarian climbs and descents and lunges.
So that you know the pair of dumbbells I use weighs 16kg.
Your quads will be on fire!
